Rose, let's do some Hurricane Prep Video
People are being advised to store water, non-perishable food and prepare for rain and wind for Hurricane Irene, and on a farm, there are other things to do: move animals around. We needed to get the sheep into the big Pole Barn and shelter, and then get the donkeys to the rear of the barn so we can get them inside when the rain starts tomorrow afternoon. The chickens and barn cats will also be inside. We are filling tubs and pans with water, replacing old batteries, getting bread, cheese, vegetables and fruit. As always, Rose was key. Come and see.
